Mar,
I responded last night to your personal address and to be quite honest,
I'm not sure if I sent it to the right address..so let me say again, in
response to your question about what kind of IR sensors my design group
and I plan on using--we havent decided yet. We just figured that
because the Polaroid sensors have an approximate range of 6" to 30' we
would need to incorporate devices that would aid us in target aquisition
from the 0+ to 6" range. We plan on using microswitches (with cat's
whiskers attached) as bump sensors which in turn will aid in the
avoidance of walls etc.
These ideas are still fairly raw and any comments, or expertise that you
would be willing to share would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again.
Jim Tegarden
P.s. If you did receive my original reply--sorry about doubling up on
them.
