Hello! I'm looking for feedback on my proposed modification of the HB. I need to drive a 2amp motor with 24 volts. I don't really trust the 754410's to handle that much power (not to mention the handyboard traces). What I'd like to do is replace (...) (28 years ago, 13-Dec-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

(...) Scott The 18200's are a pretty staight forward upgrade. I'm currently using two of them to run a couple power widow motors from a 12V gel cell. They work great. Any laser diode will work for sensing objects. The trick is that they are _so_ bright that you can't just look for the reflection (unless your are sensing objects at a few hundred feet) There was a Circuit Cellar contest entry which used a laser (...) (28 years ago, 12-Dec-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Hi, I am still looking for information on what type of laser diode would work for sensing objects. Any info or opinion would be helpfull. Has anyone tried using laser diodes for detecting objects?
