Please :) do, if something important comes up.
Anyway, I'll try to register as a member as soon as possible.
Here at work have very limited access to web (only mail... weird huh ? :))
and had no time to get on-line at home.
'till now I've only done the basic InitComm (deals with the creation of a
Spirit OLE instance), CloseComm, PBAliveOrNot and PBBatterie.
I implemented a global variable to hold the Spirit OLE instance so one
doesn't have to pass it on from function to function. So the OLE instance
becomes invisible.
(as I was writing this, just got my unlock passwd :D GREAT! Thxs Jake!)
It's my intention to do (at least) two cabinet layers.
The first one that I'm currently working on, implements a Spirit function
name & argument compatible layer, with the only advantage to hide the OLE
stuff (and to get me some experience with Sanscript).
The second layer will have a new angle approach with no respect to the
Spirit function naming, and with more logical naming and with a need-to
development basis.
It'll be a slow process, nevertheless, 'cause my spare time's limited, but
I think it'll be a good project to pursue.
If someone has more ideias about alternative approaches, please post them :)
As soon as the first cabinet's done, I'll send an export to Jake so he'll
upload it to the Excite forum.

| After reading the Jose Solorzano's (and Jake VanNoy's) thread about the possible use of Northwoods Software's Sanscript for pBrick control through Spirit.OCX, I've downloaded it (the Demo too) and tried Sanscript PRO (www.trulyvisual.com). It's a (...) (25 years ago, 10-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)
