I used the above link (Thanks Ben!) to get the thing apart. It was quite the
ordeal!
Ben's method looks painful but is actually the best. It does keep the motor
together after your done.
My design works great. I can short it over with the same jumper if I just wish to
run it like a normal train.
I've had Incredible results.
I'm currently working on a track reader where the light sensor is on the train and
the track has the barcodes.
But am having a little trouble getting it to work right.

The way I'm doing it is to have the train lower a bar to trigger a switch on the
side of the track.
Left bar to go left, right to go right.
I've also been designing a decoupler. (The train extends a bar that pushes the
trains apart, then speeds off like mad. HEH HEH)
I've also created a master/ slave car. I plan on having the train be able to call
another train over for help. heh heh.
