  Re: New sensors from Pitsco-Dacta

Wow! You're not kidding. I thought my $40 designs were a bit over the top (1/3 cost of basic RCX) but $128 is crazy. If people really are going to pay these prices, then maybe we should make lego specific devices more accessible. How much interest (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  New sensors from Pitsco-Dacta

I received my Pitsco-Dacta LEGO catalogue today. I found the information regarding the sensor adapter and other sensors. These are DCP Sensors. LEGO - DCP Sensor Adapter D779917 $53.75 Humidity Sensor 0-100% relative humidity over a temperature (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: New sensors from Pitsco-Dacta

(...) I think the question is how much the sensor does for the money. I have just finished a design for a line tracker sensor, that cost a lot to develop (half a dozen prototypes, and a couple of tiny PCB's), but the cost to build would only be a (...)   Re: New sensors from Pitsco-Dacta

Hi. The "new" Lego Sensors are rather obviously not intended for building mobile Robots. Rather, they are part of the ROBOLAB INVESTIGATOR system which was just released in the Pitsco 2000 catalogue. The idea is to build a miniature computerized (...) (25 years ago, 30-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: New sensors from Pitsco-Dacta

RE: DCP Lab sensors. Is this another standard or based on pin-outs from Vernier/Pasco? It sounds like the "DCP" term is common. Can anyone help in terms of the mode of operation of the adapter or the pin-outs? Thanks Tony Pugatschew (25 years ago, 30-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

*snip* The "new" sensors are actually (...) The key part MAY BE the Lego to DCP connection, but I don't think that the connection itself is anything more than a Lego wire connector soldered to a DIN plug. I think the real masterpiece to make these (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)
