I would recommend an RCX over a Scout if you only buy one of them, but I'd
certainly buy both an RCX and a Scout. The RCX is more versatile but the
Scout is programmable with and without PC, which is realy very practical.
Moreover, both can communicate. (And The Scout can control a Micro Scout as
an add-on only if you have still more money left.)

Could someone advise me how to spend $400 on Mindstorms related products? My thoughts are to either shell out a little extra to purchase the Robotics Invention System, Droid Developers Kit and Robotics Discovery Set, or to simply buy two Robotics (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)
