My take on the issue:
Does the legOS violate any copyright laws or licensing?
If it was not reveresed engineered from the existing RCX OS - in a word,
no. If it was, thats a whol different story - the license agreement would
be in violation. As long as legOS was developed cleanly - and you can prove
that - then this is a non-issue.
I don't beleive that there is any problem with the legOS itself - but I do
beleive there is a very big issue with the name. I think TLG is going to go
after that - my suggestion would be to change it immeidiately.
TLG is a big company - if it wants to sue it certainly will. I think they
will be more protective of the Lego name - since they are working hard to
make it the most recognized brand name around.

| However, the US export limitations _are_ different. PGP is shipped to europe by printing the source in very large books, that are then OCRed in and compiled (at least, that's the official story :) ) Could be the difference is in the fact that it's (...)
