If you just want to turn the trains on and off, without speed control from the
RCX, you can build a relay out of a motor, and a Lego switch. Run the trains
from the train controller through the switch. Hook up a motor to the RCX to move
the switch.

| (...) What's needed in this case, I think, is a relay actuator or something similar. Basically, what you're looking at is a two-wire wire brick, one (the trigger wire) that goes to the RCX and operates a switch or "gate" and another (the supply (...) (25 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)
