firmdl3 uses a variety of tricks to speed up download of the binary.
Unfortunately, many of them don't work when the lighting is anything less
than perfect. Try firmdl3 -s to produce more reliable (but slower)
downloading. I also have a short version of the older error messages
(some of which are still in the code, but not all) at the bottom of this
