If you look closely at the parts list in 1.0 vs 1.5, you will notice that the
composition of pieces has changed in many ways. 1.0 has 26 2x4 bricks, and a
couple 2x6 and 2x8 bricks for example. 1.5 has only 5 2x4 bricks, and no 2x6 or
2x8 bricks at all. 1.0 had 10 yellow wheel hubs for 8 tires, 1.5 has 6 of them.
There are many more small adjustments like that. 1.5 doesn't have a 9<->25 pin
adapter for the computer interface cable either.

Some debate remains in my mind--has Lego made the RIS set slightly less valuable (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)
