   *Real* lasers don't even look impressive. It is pracitaclly impossible to get a laser in the visable wavelengths to cut stuff. Usually UV lasers are used for this purpose.    I got this awesome idea: Have you heard of Laserdome? You run around in a dark room and shoot at othe rpeople with lasers. When you get hit, a computer registers it and blah blah. How about building two robots, equip them with a light sensor and a (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

   (...) It would be. But it's really tough -- not only can they not see where the light sensor is, they totally have no idea where the other robot is. It's like they're blindfolded and deaf. (25 years ago, 27-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)
