This only works if the is only one path between each point in the
labrynth. If not then loops may exist and this algorithm could
lead to the robot going round in circles. More generally therefore a
more sophisticated algorithm is required,

Have the robot follow the right wall, at first.  After, say, 200 seconds,
have the robot switch to following the left wall. After 200 seconds of that,
have it randomly picka wall to follow for 200 seconds. Repeat.  This shold
eventually get the robot out of any maze.
