| | I don't have the 8448 or the RCX for that matter but I may have a partial solution for you. I've found that steering is a perfect application for the Micro Motor (part # 5119). | | | | | I used a crown gear on my steering which tends to skip with some ease protecting the model. It also makes a lot of noise to get your attention. Poor engineering , but it works! Have a look.
