1) How do you delete saved My Commands? It seems that once you save one
to the list in the My Commands paddle, you're stuck with it forever.

Just select the desired "My Comand" and drag it to the waste can. A window
will ask if you want to delete. Click on the check mark and poof, it is
gone.

That's just what I'd tried, and just what Lego Tech Support suggested. I
tried yet again, and for some reason it did work, this time. Not sure
what I was doing wrong, 'cause it's sure the same click and drag op as
deleting a tile from a program, but it works now. Thanks! I'll have to
experiment a bit and see if I can find out if there are some
circumstances (loaded program?) that it doesn't work, or if it's just a
total brain malfunction on my part.

2) Is there any way to share the IR tower with the RCX Code app? I wrote
a little "stay on top" remote control that shows the battery power, lets
me start and stop programs, and fits in the dead space at the top-left
of my 1024x768 screen. But I can't download programs or run the Test
Panel with my remote control active. I wrote my app to
InitComm/CloseComm before and after every transaction - is there a way
(cmd line switch? ini file or registry hack?) to force the RCX Code
software to do the same?

Not sure of the technical reasons, but you have already established
comunication with the rcx and your trying to set up a second path. I don't
think that is possible.

It's certainly *possible* - all it takes is for the Lego code to give up
the comm port / IR tower whenever its not actively using it. The only
real question is if Lego thought to do so. It certainly makes sense for
them to have put that sort of code in, as it allows people like me to
write applets like my remote control that cooperate with their software;
it also makes sense that that 'sharing' behavior is not the default, as
it makes every op a little slower.
