Hello Mindstormers,

as a total newbie to all this, I am looking for some very basic info: I am
currently contemplating to buy my very first Mindstorm set, and would like to
find some advice about what makes a good starting combination (considering $$$s
are a limited ressource... ;-)

Obviously, I need a basic set (RIS), and I'd like to add the Creature
Expansion, too.
But which add-ons would be recommended: extra sensors, or rather extra motor?
Or an extra RCX?? Remote Control? I'm looking for priorities here.

What would be the minimum for having 2 interactive robots? If I do have RIS and
Creatures, would I need just an additional CPU (RCX Brick), or other parts as
well? Am I understanding correctly that the expansion set consists of only
"mechanical" parts plus software (but no "logic" such as sensors)?

You get my drift: What are proven and recommended starting choices and
priorities?

Any and all advice, or pointers thereto on the Internet, would be much
appreciated.
I live in Finland, which probably means World Shop as the only supplier option,
and a horrible invoice, anyway. But I cannot acquire things in too small step
by step installments either (because overhead too high).

So I'd like to get my priorities as right as possible from the very start ;-)
My bank account will then gladly take care of he "cut-off point"... :-))

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regard from the Hot North,
Martin
