I've heard of people using a k'nex solar panel to power the RCX, not sure
what elese. The voltage is the same as it would be for an adapter you plug
into the wall, 9-12 volts, AC or DC, and any amperage. Lego designed the RCX
to be kid proof!

I want to power my Rcx and robot with solar power.  Edmunds Scientific • lists a
dozen or so solar panels, all with different voltage and current.  What is • the
approprioate voltage and current the Rcx would need, with 2-4 motors and • 2-3
sensors?  I assume 9 volts is correct, but would 12 volts be too many? • What
about amps?

Any help appreciated.
