Hiya all,

The first 18 kits for my RCX IRPD are all gone.  One person got two, another
got 4 and the rest were singles.  About half the people that expressed
interest actually ordered them, which apparently worked out pretty well.
I can be persuaded to put together another run, but only if I get firm
committment from at least 10 people.  These are kinda expensive to put
together for a guy that doesn't have a tax ID or business writeoff setup...
It's fun helping people out though and even though I grouched about the
effort it took, I enjoyed the feedback that I have gotten.  Speaking of
which - How have things gone for those that have them?  I have really only
heard from three people, and over a dozen should have them by now!  I have
used mine like crazy.  With my current madmax machine wandering around
looking for a dark place to sleep my cat is kept constantly busy stalking
it.  Its nice that the Technic motors are very quiet and not very fast,
this way it isn't that intimidating to Kzin.

have fun!

(...) I have got one and love it. It is simple to use and I like the fact that you get two eyes using only one sensor input. (See my previous post on the wall- follower I built using this IRPD.) Yes, if you make another run I will get one more set. (...) (25 years ago, 16-Apr-99, to lugnet.robotics)
