Well, I think the initial analysis is in, the RCX IRPD works on at
least three Mindstorms bricks! For those of you who can't leave
"well enough" alone, read on for a directionally sensitive IRPD for
the RCX
For those of you who wanted me to put together kits for my RCX IRPD,
against my better judgement, I am. 8-) Anyway, a few people have
used prototypes of it and been pleased with the results, so I'm
putting together kits. I don't want to get stuck with a bunch of
PC boards that I'll never use so, if you want one, go check out my
web page http://www.verinet.com/~dlc/botlinks.htm (RCX IRPD project)
and read the hot stuff there for details on getting one. This is a
_kit_ and will require assembly and soldering. I have the assembly
directions that I will be sending posted on my site as a PDF, so
check that out too. I have eight folk (besides me) currently with
their hands in the air right now, and kits for 18 coming in, so
check out my web page and let me know if you're interested.
Got questions? Check my postings on this up until now or send me
email. Its a pretty cool add-on, if I may say so myself, I wonder
if I can interest Lego in it? Prolly not, it'll forever remain a
curiousity.
