I have one old differential and one of the newer sort, and no special offset
hole pieces, but I've managed to build a differtrans. I've used a shaft
along one side so I didn't need to use an offset hole piece.

It's not radically different from previous designs, but I've not noticed
another design with a shaft down the side.
