Sorry to disagree. I think that Minstorms was specificaly directed at a
younger market and at the parents of that younger market. I happen to think
that is a good thing to do, both for Lego and aspiring robotics engineers.
The middle and high school educational market alone should make it worth while
to them. More and more parents and educators are taking an interests in this
and other robotics kits. And where as an interested adult may purchase a set
and additional components, a school district( mine for example ) may purchase
5 or 10 at one shot.
This is not to say that the company should in anyway ignore its adult market,
and I would also hate to see them backstep or dumb down the product. We people
that are fighting hard to increase the interest and standing of our students
in all areas of science here in the US really need the expertise of you "Big
kids" and I mean that in the best possible way!
