Quadrature encoding. Essentially, there are two light sensors on the rotating disk, which are placed at distance such that when you rotate one direction, you get the following two waveforms: -- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- -- and when you rotate (...) (25 years ago, 25-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)
