So just get one of those small hamster balls, where you put the animal
inside it and the animal can move about 'freely', so the bot would still
have to herd it, thus being harder than herding a plain ball, but saving the
pet and owner from any traumatic experience....

I'd be less concerned about the mice crawling all over the lego than I would
be about the safety of the mouse. LEGO constructs can be easily be cleaned,
repaired, or even replaced at a nominal cost If a careless 'bot happened to
go right over the mouse, however, the mouse could be seriously injured and
might have to be put down. Can we put any kind of value on someone else's
pet?
