EXCELLENT IDEA! I have one addition for obtaining the switches. DON'T take
your mouse apart, just the old VCR! It should have 10 plus switches for the
front control buttons! Better still, many types have extended buttons, up to
about 3/8 inch This should allow you to skip the axle cutting part (Ouch my
Lego hurts). Those old VCR's are chocked full of all kinds of goodies for
those of us into making sensors. BTW, anybody out there have the robolab CD
they don't use anymore in favor of Nqc or VB? I would even trade something-
software, money... I am teaching electronics to 12th graders and expect my
6 mindstorms sets to arrive soon :-). I would like to have Robolab for them
to program with first, since most of those Wanghead seniors are not into
much programming.
(I try, I try but they just don't get it!)

| I've been working on constructing a touch sensor from parts of old devices. I discovered that the micro switches from a MS mouse and a Logitech mouse are the exact width of the inside dimensions of a 2x Lego brick. Here are the instructions and two (...)
