  Comparing software

I get a lot of people asking what the "best" software is for the NXT. Of course, this is a complex question that depends on the user, and intended goal of the program. So, for the last several days, members of the Mindstorms Community Partners (MCP) (...) (18 years ago, 16-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics.nxt, lugnet.robotics)

Re: What do these macros do?

(...) Lots of very cool stuff deleted. Sorry I missed your original message, Jeff. You can write to both the Normal and Popup screen memory and toggle back and forth between which one gets displayed. This code flips between the two buffers for 10 (...) (18 years ago, 16-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Electromagnetic device

Thanks everybody for the explanations! Everything start to make sense now. I understand that a resitor will limit only voltage across the circuit, but not current, this is very clear also. So, i will look for a small electromagnet, (9 volts) because (...) (18 years ago, 16-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt, lugnet.robotics)

Cooperative assembly line (Was: Car factory)

(...) Well... huh. First, just getting the GBC standard hammered out took a fair bit of effort. Second, I'm not sure what to build. Several folks have now "shown the way" as to how to build and coordinate a large P&P ("pick and place") type (...) (18 years ago, 16-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Electromagnetic device

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to use a electromagnetic device with the RCX and NXT. I tried with this one from a disk drive, and it worked quite well, but a few seconds after it start, the RCX shows the "low battery" icon. (The batteries are (...) (...) How about a rail car factory? Jürgen (18 years ago, 15-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Car factory

Janey posted it first, I think, but it didn't get put into the robotics or technic newsgroups (accidentally): (URL) (18 years ago, 15-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics)

"Brian Davis" <brdavis@iusb.edu> wrote in message news:JBv2uu.LpG@lugnet.com... (...) I have an idea - why wouldn't it be possible to get a team together to come up with a standard modular design for a car factory that everyone can contribute to, (...)   Re: Car factory

(...) There's a little more information over at theNXTstep blog: (URL) that there was in some ways an even more impressive car factory prior to this (it got on LUGNEt a while back), but sadly there's no video of it. Well, I take that back... (...) (18 years ago, 14-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics)
