Thanks for your responses!
I am pleased that I experienced a surprisingly painless and successful
connection between my NXT and the Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter F8T012 (which I
bought today).
I'm even happier that I can compile and d/l my programs while the bot is twenty
paces away in the kitchen. :)
This is the first time I've worked with bluetooth technology. My cell phone, by
the way, is bluetooth enabled, or has bluetooth already in it.
So here is to a happy hook up and a happy NXTer. It beats the heck out of
plugging and unplugging the USB cord dozens of times.
And I had not yet bought an NXT when I started this thread, so it is not like I
was ignoring the instruction booklet. :) I didn't want anyone to think I was
lazy. I was just wary of the many reports I had read about others having major
problems getting the bluetooth connection from their PC to NXT.
And mine? I am surprised it works so well, considering my USB port is at the =back= of my tower, which sits =under= my computer table. :)
Oh, and I don't know if I used Windows XP driver or the one that came with the
Belkin Adapter: because when I installed the software, it didnt give me a choice
whence to load the driver... but it all works, so there you go.

| I assume most the bluetooth discussion (i.e, the compatibility lists) have been for a bluetooth adapter (?) you install on your computer to communicate with the nxt. Is that correct? What about using a cell phone that is blue tooth ready? What does (...) (18 years ago, 28-Sep-06, to lugnet.robotics)
