Yes.  Successfully.

There is already software available for converting .wav files. (thanks MDPs)  Of
course, they can't be too big.

One of the first things I did was replace the goofy startup sound with a smaller
one.

There's also software to create images for the display.  (those MDPs are making
cool tools)
