IMHO this is a trap for newbies.
It is not cryptic to me, but to them it seems to be (have a look for the
unsubscribe posts). We can continue to reply with the oh-so-witty "have you
checked the web site firs?" answer to "how do I unsubscribe" posts or we can
try some preventative action. I am not for candy-coating / newbie-proofing
the internet, but can't we amend the footer to catch more of the newbie
questions?

A suggestion, Russell?. Of course it _won't_ be 100%, but it might work a
bit better.
