Dave Baum's Definitive Guide to LEGO MINDSTORMS
(Apress, ISBN 1-59059-063-5)
is a very nice book to get you started with RCX Code and NQC. If you

EXTREME MINDSTORMS by Baum, Gasperi, Hempel and Villa
(Apress, ISBN 1-893115-84-4)
Both are available at amazon and really good!
