    Repairing small 9v battery box —Brian Davis
    I've got one recently off od Bricklink, and it seems not to be working. Yes, new battery, yes, battery works in other small 9v boxes, yes, I made sure it was cool (thermal protection). Any ideas? Any suggestions how to troubleshoot or fix it, (...) (20 years ago, 4-Jul-04, to lugnet.robotics)

     (...) I had a large battery box that was did not work reliably (sometimes yes, sometimes no). The problem was burning at a battery contact.    (...) Hmmm, difficult. After a quick inspection, I'd say no. (...) What batteries are you using? I doubt there's many 9V batteries that can take sustained 5A for very long. ROSCO (20 years ago, 4-Jul-04, to lugnet.robotics)
