Hmmm, difficult. After a quick inspection, I'd say no.

   While we're at it, what's the max currrent (sustained) these can take before
the thermal protection cuts in? Brief tests show it's less than 5 amps...

What batteries are you using? I doubt there's many 9V batteries that can take
sustained 5A for very long.
