don't give up.

without any programming, the remote will drive the spybot.  button 1 & 4 control
the right motor, button 3 & 5  control the left motor.  It seems messed up, but
that's how it is.

If the motors go the wrong way, you can switch the direction from the spybot
software.

  RCX firmware vs hardware
 
All, I've got an RCX 1.0, and my son has a 1.5. Is there anything that would cause problems if I loaded 1.5 firmware into a 1.0 RCX? While on the topic, what about 2.0 firmware in a 1.0 RCX? (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.robotics)
