Kevin,
Did 8455 come with small pneumatic cylinders, or just large ones?
Does the new switch have better, worse, or comparable action to the old
switch, in your opinion?

The new form factor switch is side by side with its predecessor. It is
the same basic dimensions, but only requires pins to attach it to
technic beams.

The new switch is dark grey plastic instead of light grey.

| (...) Rob, Nope. Only large pistons. There is no performance difference between the pre-2003 pistons and the 2003 pistons. Form factor is the only difference. (...) The resistance to flipping is the same between virgin old style and virgin new style (...) (21 years ago, 19-Jun-03, to lugnet.robotics)
