RE: sensor input mux calculations —Robert Kenyon
This design would prevent multiple switch detection. Only one switch would be detectable (the last one). The designs people have been creating so far have been capable of detecting 3-4 discrete inputs at any time regardless of the settings of any (...) (26 years ago, 30-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics)

RE: sensor input mux calculations —Robert Kenyon
Duh. I didn't notice that the switches were in parallel with the resistors. Dang proportional fonts in email. Sorry about that. Yes, it would work nicely and is generally what others have been thinking of, just not putting down in drawings. Rob/Duh (...) (26 years ago, 30-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: sensor input mux calculations —Rodney Butrymowicz
I was thinking about making a passive light sensor with 2 Csd components mounted at slightly off parallel ( diverging ) and use the Light Sensor Type to read the left, then switch it to Touch Type to read the right element. I should be able to use (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: sensor input mux calculations —Michael Gasperi
Rodney wrote in message ... (...) Type (...) I (...) help (...) The two Sensor Types determine if the sensor needs power to be supplied or not. The actual reading of the sensor is the same for both modes. You will not be able to passively determine (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: sensor input mux calculations —John Donaldson
I wonder if the same approach that has been found for touch sensors may apply here to. That is can the Csd Sensors be connected is parrallel to a couple or three series resisters. Then when light hits the left sensor it generates a number and when (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics)
