I've seen the models/instruction for the DSD Kit and they are indeed
pretty cool. However, contrary to all the author credits, it's not written
by the ferrari brothers... It's by kevin clague and a whole bunch of other
peopls who's name I'm forgetting at the moment. That's the first book to
use Kevin's LPub (as far as I know), a tool which automates instruction
renders. the second book that you mentioned, "10 Cool LEGO Mindstorms
Robotics Invention System 2 Projects", is indeed due out soon, and also not
only by mario ferrari (I don't know why Syngress thinks everyone of their
lego books is by the ferrari brothers...not that I'd mind if they were :) ).
I know some of the chapters are finished (I wrote some ;) ) and the rest, if
not finished, is coming very soon. I think that with LPub, the instructions
in this book (as well as another book focusing on the expanded possiblities
of the UBS) are really clear and easy to follow. I've seen a sample chapter
and I have to tell you it looks wonderful. Look forward to it :)
