| Can an old serial IR tower work in Windows ME for ordinary infrared communication, e.g., to another computer with an infrared port? Nothing to do with an RCX or Mindstorms. Just too cheap to buy an infrared communication adapter. My laptop has an IR (...) (22 years ago, 2-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)

| (...) I don't think this will work. There are two kinds of IR comms out there, one kind is called 'IRda' and is used for computer-to-computer types of communications and the other kind is the sort that TV remotes use. The Lego adaptor is of the (...) (22 years ago, 4-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)
