On your website it says:
"This mill is for show only. It does not have the mass to allow a real
cut."

It's all in the choice of materials.  "Wet N' Set" (TM), MAGIC NUUDLES
(TM), are so light that they can be milled with standard Lego gears.  Go
to http://www.wetnset.com to see how they intend children to use that toy.

For Lego mill use, stick several "nuudles" together with water to make
something large enough to mill.  I haven't made a mill yet, I just made a
circular saw.  Even with a fast blade, the material has to be moved
through the saw very slowly.  This is a good application for the RCX.  It
has more patience than I do.  Maybe over Christmas I'll have a chance to
build a full mill.

The "saw dust" washes off with water, so the mill must be designed so that
the motors and wires are far from the cutter.  Other Legos can be washed.
This might be a good use for a Lego propeller, to make a fan to blow the
saw dust away from the motors and RCX.

The Magic Noodle (TM) is made out of Cornstarch, filler, water and food
coloring.  It seems identical to cornstarch based packing peanuts.  The
package includes a sponge to get them slightly wet, so you can stick them
to each other or to your Legos.

Ben Williamson posted pictures of his Scanning Lego Probe.  It could be
used to scan something, and replicas could be milled.

heheheh...Thanks fopr the Idea.. I have 2 24 tooth gears that were maimed horribly by a worm gear mounted on a 12 turn motor..did you know that Lego Worm gears and 24t gears stink and make pretty smoike at 24000rpm? Makes a good saw blade candidate (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)
