I was all geared up to finally buy the Vision Command set when I found, to
my great chagrin, that it'd disappeared in the week it'd taken to make up
my mind.
All the local toy stores are out of it and claim not to be ordering new
ones in, and shop.lego.com doesn't list it any more. Has Lego discontinued
it? If so, is there any replacement in the works?
The Mars exploration set IS still available, reasonably inexpensive, and I
happen to have a spare digicam lying around. Questions, though. How,
exactly, does the non-Lego digicam interface with the RCX/programming
language? And is there any trouble in using the rather old Mars software
with RIS 2.0?
On a side note, Lego's put out a capacitor (!) for Mindstorms, retailing
for $15 on its site. Any creative ideas on how to use it? There's also a
solar panel slated for a November release, just in time for sunless winter
in the northern hemisphere.

| I was wondering if the 3 internal Timers of the RIS 2,0 RCX also are in the ealier versions of the RCX´s, or is it just a matter of firmware? Thanks! Nicolai Gørtz (23 years ago, 5-Oct-01, to lugnet.robotics)
