  Re: robotica on TLC

Wow, imagine my surprise when our web tracking software indicated we were getting hits from a newsgroup I'd never heard of! I'm glad it did, because I've found a great deal of useful information here. As for the pictures, Nathan, you are correct. (...) (24 years ago, 11-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Motor with Gear Reduction ??!??

(...) Just as an addendum, there's also the 9V train motor, although that isn't easily transferrable since the contact points are on moving parts, etc... DaveE (24 years ago, 11-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

RE: Motor with Gear Reduction ??!??

There are only 3 9V motors in the Lego product line today: - the geared motor as found in the Mindstorms sets. This is the one that has a cube like shape, with lots of irregularities. - the ungeared motor. This is sort of the classic 9V Technic (...) (24 years ago, 11-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Motor with Gear Reduction ??!??

Hi all, Looking through the Pitsco Dacta catalog, I happened to see a 9V Motor with Gear Reductino listed for $16.25. Does anybody have any information about this item? It appears smaller than the standard 9V motor, which makes me think that it (...) (24 years ago, 11-Apr-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Curved Feet

Hello, (...) With a little bit of tuning, you can use the suspension system so that the axles are flat, hence less friction. It's just a pity that this system is limited to one type of wheels. (...) Who cares? What I'm missing in some of the current (...) (24 years ago, 11-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Pneumatic Pump Testing Goes Hi Tech

TRU-FLATE tire pressure guages are made by Stant. If you search the Web for "Tru-Flate" you will find several stores that sell them. I have been using a digital tire guage (like the one originally suggested on Soh Chio's site) up until now to (...)   Re: Pneumatic Pump Testing Goes Hi Tech

(...) Well, the markings say "TIRE PRESSURE GAUGE" at the top and "TRU-FLATE" at the bottom. It reads to 60 psi. No other markings to indicate its manufacture. It came courtesy of John Barnes together with the pressure sensor. The inlet has been (...) (24 years ago, 11-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic, lugnet.build, lugnet.dacta)

Re: Pneumatic Pump Testing Goes Hi Tech

(...) Those pressure switches look quite neat! It's one step closer to the establishment of a link between the pneumatic system and the RCX... BTW I was just browsing your website (really great site BTW) and had a question...do you know what type of (...)   MacHack 2001 / Lego Mindstorms

Gentlemen, (nicer, but probably less appropriate than "To whom it may concern") I've been following for the last couple of years the developments with Lego Mindstorms and the "hacks" that have been done with them. You are a natural fit for our (...) (24 years ago, 10-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)
