I share you pain. These are not, by true definition, robots. When they require a robot to be autonomous then I will take notice. I know our robotics competition here at the college specifically states that the robots must be autonomous. What I (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

We are trying to implement advanced control strategies in RCX robots, as neural networks and fuzzy logic. But I think the NQC don't has what we need, as arrays (memory allocation) and aritmetic functions (sigmoid logist for example). Does any one (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

I share your frustration and agree, they are by no means robots. Are remote controlled planes, boats and cars robots? I have watched BattleBots a few times but got bored with it for similar reasons. The unfortunate thing is that your typical couch (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)
