  Re: Lubricating technic turntables

Hey! Some lubricant's are especially made for lubricating thin latex night wear that I won't mention since this is a family news station... Let's just say the latex thingie is used to keep the number of kidos down. But I bet the clerks will wrinkle (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  RE: robotica on TLC

I share you pain. These are not, by true definition, robots. When they require a robot to be autonomous then I will take notice. I know our robotics competition here at the college specifically states that the robots must be autonomous. What I (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Advanced Control strategies

Hi Mauro, I think what you're looking for is legOS. You can find it here : (URL) can't imagine a more appropriate place to ask such questions then this site ! Rainer (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Advanced Control strategies

We are trying to implement advanced control strategies in RCX robots, as neural networks and fuzzy logic. But I think the NQC don't has what we need, as arrays (memory allocation) and aritmetic functions (sigmoid logist for example). Does any one (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: robotica on TLC

I share your frustration and agree, they are by no means robots. Are remote controlled planes, boats and cars robots? I have watched BattleBots a few times but got bored with it for similar reasons. The unfortunate thing is that your typical couch (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  robotica on TLC

After seeing all the commercials for the past couple of weeks, I was looking forward to this show on TLC called "Robotica". What a disappointment. Where were the robots? They kept talking about robots the whole time. Maybe I'm missing something (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  legs anyone?

Hello all- has anyone worked on a biped-type robot? I've got my class working on making a leg & hip system right now. They are making knees and ankles and gearing the hip to throw weight forward so that the robot walks. Any photos of existing (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: I wish Lego made an "Anti-Backlash Gear"

As this discussion grows, I submit: (that) Part of the problem with Mechanical flex, Gear "Backlash" if you will, Derives from many aspects when we model maximun preformance from Axles, Gears, and all the elements combined to produce desired (...)   Re: How about ideas for new elements?

(...) I think a sub group for 'modifiers' is a good idea. I haven't cut up any pieces myself, broken loads, but never sawn any up. What I will admit to is strenghtening parts, particulary universal joints. I bind the ends with sellotape as the (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)
