Hello all- has anyone worked on a biped-type robot? I've got my class working on making a leg & hip system right now. They are making knees and ankles and gearing the hip to throw weight forward so that the robot walks. Any photos of existing (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

After seeing all the commercials for the past couple of weeks, I was looking forward to this show on TLC called "Robotica". What a disappointment. Where were the robots? They kept talking about robots the whole time. Maybe I'm missing something (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

I share your frustration and agree, they are by no means robots. Are remote controlled planes, boats and cars robots? I have watched BattleBots a few times but got bored with it for similar reasons. The unfortunate thing is that your typical couch (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

We are trying to implement advanced control strategies in RCX robots, as neural networks and fuzzy logic. But I think the NQC don't has what we need, as arrays (memory allocation) and aritmetic functions (sigmoid logist for example). Does any one (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)
