Hello everyone, I've just signed up to this mailing list and it looks like there's a lot of cool information being passed around here. Anyway, I have an RCX 1.0 with the power jack. Some time ago, I noticed the markings in the plastic above the (...) (24 years ago, 11-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Has anyone created a geared down robot with a gear ratio of 8:40 x 8:40? My original creation is not 'good enough' to go in a straight line and after all the repsonds to my original message I still can not build one. I suck at the building part of (...) (24 years ago, 11-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Actually, I wouldn't read too much into that. I just received my RIS 1.5 on Friday and it contained and RCX 2.0, but the photos in the manuals and on the box show at least 15 different RCX 1.0's (including 3 with 5 digit serial numbers). I (...) (24 years ago, 11-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Strictly speaking, there is a difference, physically, between the 1.0 and the 1.5 or 2.0 RCX (I have a 1.0 and a 2.0). The 1.0 has an external power jack. This doesn't effect the physical characteristics of the RCX as far as where and how you (...) (24 years ago, 11-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics)
