Hi, I just call Lego Customer Service from France. I asked about RIS 2.0. The sympathic girl answered me that Lego has changed his mind about RIS 2.0. For the moment no production is planned before at least one year ! Marc Klein A Mindstorms fan. (24 years ago, 23-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

In a pinch - and if you don't mind spending some extra money - you can always by a train set like 4561 "Railway Express" for $129.99 or 4548 "Speed Regulator" for $41.99.
