    Use for Bad Lego Motor —Bill Edstrom, Jr.
   The new Mindstorms RIS 1.5 set I gave my son for Christmas had a bad motor right out of the box. The motor is just jammed up and will barely turn by hand.      (...) Wait until after you get the new motor from LEGO. Sometimes they WANT the old motor back. I seem to be the king of bad motors. (7 at last count out of 16) All DOA.    Even i have 3 motors that hardley move by hand I'm in india and i brought this kit and extra motors 1 1/2 years back ,, but i thought that as i just kept it like that and did not use it it got stuck .    Talk to LEGO, they are very understanding about this. They swapped 3 dead motors out for me, and two of them were at least 18 months old.
