Time for me to stop lurking. I've written a few Palm applications, and have an RCX, and indeed I was the person who both deciphered the IR protocol that the Furby uses to talk to other toys, and built a laser-emitting LEGO brick: (URL) would love to (...) Hi, I bought Dave Baum's on an impuls and now regret it. I don't know about the o'Reilly book, but this one is especially weak on models. Main reason to buy it would be to learn NQC, but there are more sources for that... Duq (25 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

I don't know what version 0325 is, but as far as I know, only two versions of the firmware have shipped with Lego sets so far. Both the 1.0 and 1.5 RIS sets, plus all add-on sets (RoboSports, Extreme Creatures, Mars) ship with the original firmware. (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) It is not from a set if I remember correctly. I think I downloaded it from Lego's Mindstorms web page once upon a time. The readme says it is from "RCX2 SDK PRE ALPHA, PATCH 3." The date given is April 17, 2000. -Kekoa (25 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)
