Here is a program letting you play with InfraRed Ranging using the standard Light Sensor and the built in IR Communications Port. Some ballpark numbers without thought to temperature and pressure. Approx lift for 1 Cu Ft helium = 1 Oz. RCX = 9 Oz. You might need two.... Motors = 2 Oz ea 4 (?) required Misc structure and balloon estimate 2 pounds? Total ( minimum ballpark) (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics)

I was thinking of making a lego dirigible as part of an R&D project at my school. We came to the conclusion that we would need a baloon about the size of a small horse to get the neccesary equipment into the air. Though I still think that it would (...)
