Nice idea.
I don't have pneumatics yet, but the same idea can be applied to different
applications. For example, I want to build a arm with a grabber that first
closes the "hand" then lifts the arm. I believe your idea using the
differential will solve that. The claw axle would offer a lower resistance.
Once closed if would stall and the other axle would then rotate and lift the
arm.
