I agree there. When Lego discontinued the pneumatics I ran out and bought up as
many of the large pistons as I could... Now, of course, I'm short about 20 of the
valves with no cheap way to get more. heh. At $45 CDN it's **VERY** costly. But
there are the air tanks which I only have one.
I have created a 4 pump compressor that does a good job in keeping up with my
demanding projects. A few more tanks should even out the flow. I've been thinking
of picking up some of them 'Fishertechnics' electric valves for use with the RCX.
I will use them in conjunction with my (MS)2 Expander to give me 6 Valves on one
RCX. ( http://www.akasa.bc.ca/tfm/lego_wr.html ) It works VERY well for
controlling that sort of 'bot'.
It's the interfacing with the RCX and the Lego Valves that's the killer...

| (...) Actually, I'm tackling that particular problem right now. I don't claim it's elegant, but I'm using the pneumatic valves interconnected with a robot arm in such a way that each time the arm goes up, valve A changes position. Then when it goes (...)
