Fry's here (San Diego, CA) is advertising the Robotics Discovery Set for
$99, today thru Tues 5/16/00.

I checked the Fry's in Dallas [the Garland store].

They had about 200 Scouts but the price was $119 and not $69. They have been
at this price for several weeks. Most seemed to be new units and not
exchanged and restocked units.

They did not have any RIS in stock. And they didn't have any three weeks ago
either.

The Star Wars Droid Developer Set was on sale for $79 vs the regular $99
price. It was one of the items in the weekly newspaper flyer.

Every single one of the 100 or so boxes in Sunnyvale had been
opened.  I checked and everything seemed to be there.
The key components to look for are:
The Blue Scout
2 motors.
Bag with 2 touch sensors & 2 clutch gears.
Bag with 2 foam balls and motor wires.
Seven other bags of parts. (9 bags total)
Three constructopedias.

If you live near a Fry's Electronics store in the US, check out if they

Robotics Discovery Set. The stores in the San Jose, CA, area are clearing • them
out today for $69. Yes, that's not a typo or a misprint - I already got one • at
that price.
