Re: Scout on sale at Fry's Electronics for $69 —Paul Gyugyi
Every single one of the 100 or so boxes in Sunnyvale had been opened. I checked and everything seemed to be there. The key components to look for are: The Blue Scout 2 motors. Bag with 2 touch sensors & 2 clutch gears. Bag with 2 foam balls and (...) (25 years ago, 12-May-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Since the boxes had been opened (who? why?) I appreciated having Paul's inventory. I counted (...) (25 years ago, 14-May-00, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

RE: Scout on sale at Fry's Electronics for $69 —Tilman Sporkert
(...) I wonder if there's a problem with the glue of those little seal stickers. Who would open all the boxes in such a big pile. I've seen the stacks of these sets at Fry's for month now, and they haven't been moving. I.e. it's not like they got (...) (25 years ago, 15-May-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Scout on sale at Fry's Electronics for $69 —Matthew Wilkins
Fry's usually opens things like that to put inventory control tags into the boxes; if the tags are on the outside of the boxes, they are more easily removed. TRU does the same thing. -Cheese (...) $149.99. (...) have (...) them (...) one at (...) (25 years ago, 15-May-00, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)
